Small World
Went to Dt SF today with my buds Justin and Kazu. Didn’t know what i was expecting b/c im such a loser and i rarely leave the house. Got off at Powell and went straight to Urban Outfitters and found Eric there, with a bunch of brightly colored chinos in his hands. I found some nice cheap mondays for $28 but i didn’t feel like buying anything. We all left UO empty handed. After UO, we boarded the bus and took a ride down Haight Street. The first shop we stepped in was Shoe Biz, where we watched Eric get his Keds.
It smelled funny here, not like Chinatown funny but still kinda funny. But i saw Stephanie Zhu driving here. After a few stores we arrived at Wasteland, which reminds me of the phrase “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” I stumbled some Levi’s selvedges, and i would’ve gotten them if they were a little wider on the waist and skinnier and shorter on the legs. Justin found a pair of Imperial and I found Eric a pair of Nudies.
We then took the bus to JTown and saw Dylan K. with his friends. Jtown looked very different from my memory. I remember Jtown looked like one of those empty, Western ghost town in the movies, but I found this place to be bustling with tourists and cosplayers. I also saw my running coach, Tim, with his friend, which was kinda weird.
After leaving Jtown, we went to our usual hangout spot, Quickly, for a drink. This woman came up to us and said she saw us in Jtown, which made me felt that we are leaving in a really small world.
